Revenue Assurance Academy Training Methodology

A Comprehensive, Professional Approach—Not Just Random Information

The objective of GRAPA's standards-based approach is to formally define professional practice as scientific, measurable and repeatable fundamental skill-sets that can be taught and practiced by serious-minded professionals adhering to rigorous standards. It makes clear that professional disciplines are not mysterious, personality-driven nor purely dependent on individual talent and experience.

This educational approach is not a random collection of isolated interesting facts, or a bag of "tips and tricks," but rather it is a set of fundamental ideas, concepts and technical/operational knowledge that providesprofessionals a comprehensive understanding of their function and the problem space.

The principles we teach form the fundamental building blocks of telecoms technologies, business models, operational environments, and standard controls. These components are presented in a deliberate structure so as to provide students with a holistic perspective while remaining applicable to the real world.

Full Mastery of a Professional Discipline

Candidates who sucessfully complete the full course of study will have assembled a body of knowledge whose power is many times greater than the sum of its individual parts. This comprehensive collection of professional knowledge will allow for its application in any telecoms environment. Regardless the line of business, technology, geographic location, or corporate culture GRAPA certified professionals are equipt with the knowledge-base and tools to apply industry standard practice across critical opperational domains.

Elements of Training

Our Revenue Assurance training events feature exclusive presentations and real-world examples of procedures, solutions, and strategies that have effectively reduced leakage and maximized profits for telcos around the world
  • Depth of knowledge: The topics are "narrow and deep" rather than broad and vague, presenting you with focused information.
  • Masters Certification: GRAPA's highest and most prestigious certification attained after completing a rigorous training program.
  • Tailored content: Training is adjusted to meet the needs of the students. Students are asked to fill out "GRAPA Benchmark Surveys" to determine placement. The principles we teach are also applied to cable, satellite, wireless voice, SMS, MMS, IPTV, and MMDS.
  • Relevancy: Class materials are based on our industry approved standards.
  • Based on real-world situations: The majority of the training is experience-based "standard practices" in revenue assurance and fraud protection.
  • Interactive: The workshops are more than lecture sessions. Students are expected engage in a dialouge between facutlty and fellow students.
  • Professional development: Students master vocabulary needed for professional opportunities in the telecoms industry

Revenue Assurance Academy Pedagogy

The Revenue Assurance Academy understands that different students learn better in different environments. For this reason we have added classifications to our training programs to help students find which course is best suited for them. Check back soon for more information on our Pedagogy and Methods.

What if I only want to attend certain days?
We understand that due to corporate policies, budget constraints, time limitations, and short-term/crisis information needs, members may wish to come for shorter periods or only for specific modules.

However, based on feedback from teacing over 1000 students in the past 3 years, the GRAPA Steering Committee has determined that mastery of the material is only possible when students attend the training in the suggested sequence.

As a result, these events must be taken in the order described by this event guide. As long as members attend the training in sequence (Day 1 before Day 2, then Day 2 before Day 3, etc.), they can be trained and/or certified by attending multiple events (for example: first 3 Days at one location, last 2 days at another).
